Making a Will is the foundation of estate planning, yet it’s estimated that 2 out of 3 people haven’t made one.
Many people put off making a Will for a number of reasons, perhaps they assume that the people they would like to inherit will automatically do so, because they don’t think it’s relevant, or because none of us like to admit that we are immortal!
Sadly, the reality is that is you die without a Will, it can cause all sorts of problems for the people you leave behind, and can mean that some or all of your inheritance either goes to the wrong person or to the state. If you have property or dependent relatives, it’s particularly important that you put in place a Will that make your intentions clear and avoids any disputes.
